...Oh yeah...
I forgot to tell you...I went to Missouri on the 26th to see family and stuff.
I'm back now, though, so don't worry.
I got a digital camera for Christmas, so I'm sure I'll have lots of pictures of my dorm and college and stuff soon. Got a cool watch, too. And candy and clothes. And Candace (my sister) gave me condoms, but I don't have sex, so I didn't know what to do with them. They make good floaties for little army men.

Two Days 'Til Christmas
No time to talk...
I still have about half of my shopping left to do

About a Week
I've been home ever since late last Monday night (Tuesday morning), but I haven't posted about it partly because I'm on dialup at home (eww...) and partly because I'm lazy. The 15 hour drive back wasn't nearly as hard or as boring as I thought it would be. You'll all be proud of me, too...I did it all in one day. It still hasn't snowed yet since I've been here, and it's been a week. In fact, it was really hot today, and I wore a short-sleeved shirt. I hate this fucking weather...I want snow!
I just checked on my final grades from college, and they finally had them posted: 4.0! It seems that the secret to getting all A's in college is sitting all day long at a computer on AIM wanting and thinking only of going back home and talking for two and a half hours (or more) on the phone every night.
I probably won't check everyone's blogs as often as I do in college over the winter break because it's Christmas and I have dialup, but rest assured that I at least want to be reading everyone's sites.

The Stars aren't doing too well this season
My roommate is watching the Miami/New England football game in the room right now, and it's snowing like hell up there. It's making me realize just how much I'm looking forward to Christmas this year. I need some time away from this school stuff to just do what I want and have fun. I really want snow this year, too. I know that probably won't happen in Arlington...but I can always hope. I want to take Brooklyn out into the snow and slide down some hills or teach her that snow is best used for throwing at people. I get to come home shortly, and it'd better be snowing by at most a week after I get there.
I'm kind of worried about my grade in English for the semester. From what I can tell, I'm borderline between an A and a B, and I may have pissed her off with the creationism/evolution paper (she's religious).
Oh, and I cleaned my room on Friday night...for the first time since I've been here. I decided that this room was really beginning to annoy me with all the dust everywhere, so my roommate and I dusted all the furniture. I then went out to Wal-Mart and bought a $3 broom (no dustpan; we figured the trash can would work fine) with which I swept all kinds of nasty dust from under the desks and beds. The bathroom still may need some work, but at least I'm not freaked out by the place I sleep anymore.
I have a whole lot of money to spend on food from my meal plan (apart from the meals I'm already buying) before I go home. My plan for the time being is to just buy a bunch of Cinnabons (they sell them by the half-dozen and even give boxes to put them in). Another choice is to buy a very large number of bags of chips. Any other suggestions are very welcome.

A Week From Thanksgiving
I just got back my calc test. 24/25. That means that I get to exempt the final with an A in the class!
This week I've turned in my final essay for English (which I'll post eventually), done an entire presentation (written and oral) on a solar-powered pump project we had in intro to chemical engineering, worked on my final English project (a group website due this Monday morning), and finished that calc test.
But it's all finished now (except that English website, but it's getting there), and I'm happy. It's also raining here, so I'm happy again. And even more, today is mine and Nathalie's four-month anniversary, so I'm even much happier than I would otherwise be today.
Now is naptime. Then I'm going to try to sell my calc book and organic chem lab textbook back for money. Then maybe I'll do some more work on that English thing.

I'll be back home in a little less than two weeks
The week of Thanksgiving was spent (in no particular order)
- playing with Brooklyn
- talking to family and friends
- helping put up some of Nathalie's Christmas decorations
- going to Lamar and seeing teachers
- going to UTA to one of Nathalie's classes with 100 people in it and being put in one of the groups of six people each to build a water tower out of spaghetti and winning the contest and a UTA engineering coffee mug
- eating at Simply Fondue
- eating three Thanksgiving dinners (one with my family, one with Nathalie's family, and one that Nathalie and Olivia made)
- winning a game of Risk
- losing a game of Risk
- playing Trivial Pursuit of the last 20 years and losing horribly
- seeing my dad's newest store in Fort Worth
- getting Microsoft Office (finally)
- watching Bad Santa and Love Actually (both good movies)
- getting around 5 hours of sleep every night
- finishing my Anne Rice book so I can start on Brave New World
- watching Prince of Persia (a video game)
- going to Fry's and buying nothing
- seeing Finding Nemo
- doing a math test
- working on my final English project (designing a web page)
I'll bet I did other stuff, too, but I have a lot of work to do this week, and I need to get started.
