*scream*

IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!

more on this as it develops

....now back to math.

And later...
Upon closer inspection, it's not snow, but ice falling from the sky. Freezing rain, if you will. Not worth getting all freaked out about, but I guess it's nice nonetheless. I put my clothes in my car (for Arlington tomorrow!) and went to park my car, and on the way back, I decided to get a nice hot chocolate from the coffee place in the union. There was even a short line! The people in front of me, however, got the last hot chocolate because they ran out of milk. Grr... Oh well. I was happy, so I decided to make the best out of the situation and get some hot tea. Bad idea that was. The tea was really gross. My phone is screwed up, too. Doesn't matter...I get to go home tomorrow!

School may be cancelled again tomorrow because this city doesn't know how to function when it's cold, so I may get to come home even earlier than I thought on standby, but I'm not counting on it.

It's time for a warm shower

I'm Alive?

Yes, I know that I never update anymore, but I just can't think of anything to write. I've been sick all weekend, but I'm finally feeling better now. Most all I did for this weekend because of it was just sit around and watch TV. Though I did finally get to see Shrek yesterday. It's a pretty good movie, but I can't say that I'm really looking forward to aptly named Shrek 2.

I've been needing to do laundry for the past maybe five days, but you all know how forgetful I am, so I just got around to doing it today. The first loads are in the washing machines right now. I'll go put them into the dryer in 30 minutes, but I may have to dry them twice (or more) because there's a lot and they don't get dry enough the first time if I have that much (many?) clothes. So tomorrow I won't be forced to wear something that should be considered dirty.

Next weekend (February 27th), I'm coming back home because my dad got some really good Stars tickets from the Dallas Morning News (whom he advertises with). The game starts at 7:00 on Friday, which just happens to be the same time that my plane comes in. So I'll of course wear my Stars jersey that whole day, and we'll rush to the game right from the airport. The game is against the Minnesota (pronounced like in Fargo [good movie]) Wild. There's a rivalry there because the Stars came originally from Minnesota to Dallas, and Minnesota was left without a team for 10 years, so the game should be really, really cool. I haven't been to a Stars game all season... And they're doing so much better now then they were at the beginning of the season. Well on their way to first in the division.

My winning Pepsi count is now 6... I'm not sure how many I've tried. I think I'm about 1 for 2, which is no 1 for 1, but it's still better than the odds.

I (kind of) apologise to anyone this offends, but I thought it was perfect. Oh, and about a week ago (maybe longer?) I was walking through the student union place, and I saw a poster hanging up telling people to come to some religious thing. One of the "taglines" written on the poster was "If evolution is supposed to be scientific 'fact', then why can't it be proven?"

Snow!

Everyone in Texas got snow on Valentine's Day. I only got rain. But I did get some wonderful pictures from Nathalie yesterday and then some from my mom today which helped cheer me up from missing the snow. Two pictures I just thought I had to share with you all.

First, look at how cute Brooklyn can be. This is her when she's happy and excited for whatever reason (most likely is that I am there).
Happy

Now look at her the other 95% of the time when she's tired and angry because she's not getting her way.
Not Happy

I'm only joking, of course. I love Brooklyn. She's not angry all the time. In fact, for all I know that could be a picture of her being really excited about something. It's just that the red eyes and the fists curling up and her standing up as straight as she can and looking like she's screaming tell me otherwise...

Valentine's Day was nicer than I thought it would be. Thank the gods for cell phone 5000 minutes including the weekends. It was still pretty boring for probably more than half the day, though. I got another free song from iTunes yesterday, though. That makes me 2 for 3 in the Pepsi game with 1 in 3 odds. I got mad skillz.

Nothing Week

I haven't posted any this week because I've been really busy with school. Lots of tests and a whole lot of homework that is finally finished. It feels like I'm much more free now than I have been the past few days. In fact, I feel GREAT!

Minus school, my life has been pretty uneventful for the last week. I had lots of fun back home over the weekend, but I don't think I've had lots of fun yet since I've been back. Saturday is Valentine's Day. That being said, I think you all should plan a day at least as eventful as mine should be: applying for transfer scholarships and for college admission.

...

Wow, I really can't think of anything to post right now.

An Apple was the reason humans were kicked out of Paradise.

I'll start this post by saying that Nathalie and I have been dating for 6 months now. It makes me smile to even just type that, much less realize that it's true. I'd write something here about how great love is, but I'm sure that most of you (all?) are sick of that by now, so I'll just continue.

It's cold outside, and I'm actually really happy sitting in my dorm right now. On my way back from differential equations, I got lunch at Einstein Bros. Bagels. I got a bowl of clam chowder, a bagel dog, and a Pepsi. I got the soup because it's cold out, and the hot dog because there wasn't enough soup in one bowl for me to eat as a whole meal (I was hungry). They were both really, really good and warming, and it makes me happy sitting warm inside when it's cold outside. With the Pepsi, I got a free song from iTunes (woohoo!), but in my bitter hatred towards all that is Macintosh (see title), I have given my code to Nathalie and her Powerbook.

I'm going home this weekend! In approximately 37 hours, I'll be starting on the road to the Greenville/Spartanburg airport. That's right: at about 2:00 a.m. on Saturday morning (Friday night), I'm going to drive 2 hours to the airport so that I can try to get on standby for a 5:50 a.m. flight to Arlington. If I don't get that, it means I won't get to leave here until 1:00 p.m., so wish me luck. I still haven't decided on the best course of action for sleeping on Friday night before I leave, but currently I'm thinking that I'll take a nap from about 6:00 p.m. to midnight so I'll be rested enough for the drive and so that I won't need a nap at all on Saturday (like there's ever a day that goes by when I don't need a nap).

Random: The other day on Full House (yes, I watch that show) my roommate and I heard Uncle Jesse say "What the hell just happened?" That's right: Uncle Jesse cussed! We both just turned and stared at each other unable to think of anything except the innocence of our childhoods crumbling before our very eyes...I'll never be able to think of the Tanner family in the same way again.

Uber-Bowl Sunday

I'm writing this as the superbowl is on in the background of my dorm. I don't like football, but my roommate does, so we're watching it.

This weekend started out really good. I was really happy early Friday night for multiple reasons, but then stuff happened that I won't talk about here so as not to upset too many parties involved (No, Nathalie and I did not break up or anything like that). Anyway, the rest of the weekend was/is pretty sad. At least I get to go be happy in Arlington next weekend (Feb. 7-9).

<sidenote>Holy shit! This is the worst halftime show I've ever seen! It's so awful!</sidenote>

Yes, I'm coming home next weekend. My dad used some frequent flyer miles to get a really cheap ticket. I'm going to the airport (about two hours away) really early on Saturday morning (i.e. Friday night) to try to get on standby for a 5:50 a.m. flight. Otherwise, I leave later that day at 1:00 in the afternoon. Then I come back Monday afternoon.

Today was the one-year anniversary of the space shuttle Columbia disaster. One year ago today, I was driving from Tulane to Rice (two beautiful campuses) with my dad while reading Lord of the Flies (awesome book). It occurred to me today that I have changed a whole lot since that day, just as all of us have. It's so great to look back years at a time and realize just how much you and everything else have changed and grown. All the new experiences in our lives make us reevaluate what's most important to us and what makes us happiest. I know that there are things I believe now that I'd never imagined myself thinking a year ago, but I'm incredibly thankful for that. Change doesn't mean bad.

I maybe wanted to write more, but I don't feel like it now. Maybe I'll come back and finish later.
